Refineries Water Consumption Measuring and Reporting, Hungary, Slovakia, Czeck Republic, for MOL Hungarian Oil Company
MOL requested NewFields to support their reporting efforts of water consumption and to gain a better understanding of general water uses and losses. For this task NewFields utilized a web survey to determine water consumption values for a number of refineries within the MOL refinery group.
The web survey results were compared to the group’s existing data from past reporting efforts to determine where discrepancies existed. During this process NewFields provided extensive quality control and assurance of the survey-collected data, reviewed the results and engaged in communication with site managers regarding discrepancies found. NewFields also analysed the current conditions of each site’s water consumption and created recommendations on water reporting for annual industry reports.
At the end of the project, NewFields provided training on reporting best practices so that past issues and discrepancies would be minimized. NewFields analysis provided MOL’s management with actual reliable data, allowed meaningful comparison between sites and consistency in the definitions used.
